JAKARTA: PT JJ NAB Capital Tbk secured approval from the company’s extraordinary meeting of shareholders (EGM) to change its name into PT Orient Indocapital Tbk.
"We want to change the company's name with a name resembling our stock code, OCAP, in order to be more recognizable," said President Director of JJ NAB Capital Ie Keng Shiang to the press after attending the shareholders' meeting this afternoon.
According to Keng Shiang, the company received unanimous vote from all shareholders who attended the meeting whose share domination was 88% of total shareholders.
The change of name, he said, is not associated with the change in the composition of the company's shareholders taking place at the end of last year, where there was a change in the ownership of foreign investors to other foreign investors.
"There is a change in ownership among some of our shareholders that are foreign investors, who sold their holdings to foreign investors as well," he added. However, Keng Shiang did not specify the foreign shareholders that disposed or purchased the company shares.
He said that besides changing the name, the company is also scheduled to change the address of the company's business location from Jalan Sungai Gerong, Central Jakarta, to Deutshce Bank Building in the area of Hotel Indonesia's Roundabout.
